Tim Bock is an efficiency nut with a passion for statistical testing and plotting data. He has worked as an academic, choice modeller, quant consultant and “client”. His main job today is designing and providing customer support for Q (www.q-researchsoftware.com), the quant analysis software his company has been developing for the past eight years. He is an Honorary Visiting Fellow at the University of New South Wales and previous roles have included Director of Advanced Quantitative Techniques at The Leading Edge and Director of Customer Insight & Analytics at Telstra, the largest telco in the southern hemisphere. Tim has published academic papers on topics as diverse as qualitative research, data fusion and neural networks, has a PhD on market segmentation and has won a handful of awards for speaking at research conferences.
